I highly recommend this lovely hostel. Everything is so clean, neat and I felt at home right away. The dorms have everything you need. The wooden porch is amazing to relax on during the night and day. The air conditioning is wonderful to have. The people here are so relaxed, easy to approach and are very warm and loving.

This is probably the best guest house I have been to.

After walking a whole day in the rain (ending the Jesus Trail), Ron's mother had the wondrous idea to order some pizza. Eating the Pizza in the dorm room was the perfect occasion to become friendly with the other guests. The dorm room is spacious, modern and the bathroom clean and airy. The breakfast is plenty and served in a cosy dining room.

This all helps to feel at home even from the first day on. Perfect place to hide away from the rain, to relax and get in touch with friendly people. You get value for your money. And even the things in life you can not pay for like warmth and family feeling, are plenty.

Thank you Ron and Yaël for the pleasant stay.
On of the best guesthouses on the Jesus Trail. Well worth the little walk up the hill from Capernaum.

This is the most amazing place we have been as a family. The welcome is great. The food is superb. The view is out of this world!
We would recommend this place to anyone who is touring Israel. Roni & Yael are wonderful hosts and made us really feel at home for the 8 days we stayed there.
We left knowing that we would someday be back. We all miss the place tremendously.

Thank you so much for such a special time!

We had a GREAT time in Almagor! Our appartment was cosy and clean, the beautiful garden with hammock, flowers and fruit trees framed the scenic view of lake Kinneret, and breakfast couldn't have been better. We especially enjoyed chatting with Yael en Roni who told us about the history of Almagor, thus giving us a taste of Israeli history and moshav life. We absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience Israel in a unique and intimate way!

After a few hours of driving, the Sea of Galilee Guest House was a oasis. Our hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating, even ordering a pizza for us upon our arrival. The rooms were very comfortable and the orange trees just outside our door were a real treat. Even more of a treat were the outstanding breakfasts -- fresh fruit, cheeses, a bowl of fresh avocado, and eggs to order. The views of the Kinneret were spectacular and we found it to a be very convenient spot for our day trip to Tzfat and the Golan. The suggestions on sites to see and directions were perfect. I would highly recommend the "Sea of Galilee Guest House" to anyone traveling in northern Israel.

We turned up, darkness had come and we needed a room. What a gem this guest house was I cannot find a single reason not to come back. Nothing was a problem we had not booked and it was late, we were greated with such kindness and the place is quite beautiful also. Not to mention the all you can eat oranges. we had one night booked loved it so much we booked a second and just spent the time relaxing and looking forward to the best breakfast in all my stay in israel.

Thank you if your reading this your missing out go already and see it for yourselves perfect.

I would reccomend that you book as this place will book up fast. There is nothing better for the value in and around that area.

Thank you, Jaël & Roni - we had a wonderful time at Almagor. This place is amazing! We enjoyed your friendly house, the wonderful garden and the very best breakfast at a hostel we ever got. The house and the garden are made with a lot of love, breathing a good atmosphere, and it is all very comfortable. It was very interesting to learn more about the history of Almagor, thanks to Roni, who gave a such a competent tour. This place is great to start excursions to Galil and to the Golan Hights! We wish you the very best, health and peace and a lot of friendly guests - and we hope once we will come back to you. Greetings from Berlin, Thomas & friends

My group of five and I had the best time at the Sea of Galilee Guest House! The hammocks outside are absolutely incredible, one of my friends even slept in one for the night, said it was even more comfortable than her very comfortable bed in the dorm! I have stayed at and looked into many other hostels in the region(although the Sea of Galilee Guest House is apart of the Israeli Hostels club, it is far better than any other youth hostel I have ever stayed at) and nowhere else has any of the amenities that the SoGGH has, like cleanliness for one. I definitely suggest the Sea of Galilee Guest House for anyone staying in the North, who wants a truly Israeli experience. You will literally be staying in an Israeli landmark.

Greetings in Lord from Denmark!

I had a fantastic and absolutely wonderul spiritual experience staying with Roni and her mother at Sea of Galilee Guest House! I would recomend anyone visting the Sea of Galilee to stay here.. The place is so serene and quiet, many fruit trees all over the propertyy and the view from the Almagor city looking down to the Sea is marvelous and awesome only some 7 kilometers away!

The breakfast is superb in the morning, absolutely delicious Isreali specialities prepared fresh every morning and everyone there is very freindly and helpful. Please make sure you you visit the Greek Orthodox 7 Aposles church at Capernaum, it's such a beautiful special place to spend a few hours reading the bible praying and meditating the Word right by the water where Jesus lived and performed so many miracles together with his disciples. Make sure to say hello to the Macedonian pastor living there such a freindly brother in the Lord have a sit in the lovely garden and have a chat with him surrounded with Grapes hanging from above and enjoy the feeling of the Holy Spirit as you sit by the water...

Next time I visit Isreal I will definatly return to Almagor and stay here again! The town of Almagor has a very interesting history going back to Sixties and the war with Syria just ask Roni for more information and pictures! I was also in Jerusalem and Nazereth very special places too, but Almagor and the Sea of Galilee was the best experience of the whole trip this time... I highly recomend anyone to stay with Roni at the Guest House you won't regret it and you'll experience all the wonderful local sites Korazim, Sermon of the Mount, Tabgda the miracle of the feeding of the 5000, so much top see and do!!! and of the best Capernaum the town of our Lord Jesus!

This hostel is great and the owners are terrific. I would recommend this hostel to anyone that enjoys peace and tranquility! The hammocks are positioned wonderfully to watch the city of Tiberias turn into a sea of dazzling stars after sunset. This is a magical place and the accomodations are clean and up to date.

I hope that you make this your base when exploring the Sea of Galilee. I was planning on staying two nights but ended up spending four!

Thank you Roni and Yael

We had a wonderful stay while attending the Jacob's Ladder Festival. The breakfast was delicious, fantastic fresh cheeses with herbs and wonderful pastries. The hostesses are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed hearing about the early days at Almagor and viewing the photos and memorabilia. Thank you Yael and Roni for a memorable weekend. I spent some nights a the Hostel, in the dorm. What a place, most relaxing. The dorms, kitchen, bath I found very clean, modern and useful. To sit on the wooden porch, surrounded by orange and fig trees, is outstanding, can I say most romantic? If you want to know a little bit more about the daily life in Israel you have to choose the sea of galilee guest house. The whole family is willing to answer all the questions, everybody is so helpfull and friendly. Very open and easy going people. I can highly recomend the place. Heidi Kuenzi from Switzerland
